Flying-When All Else Fails Just Keep Flying!

I Spent the afternoon entertaining my child at DCA. ✈️

Thankfully it was only for an hour.  Unfortunately It was the longest hour EVER.  BUT….silver lining…I learned a few life lessons.  💕
1️⃣-Cowboys gear in Redskins territory..I mean Commanders Territory…I mean the Washington Teams territory-IDK but anywho it wasn’t the most well thought out plan.  #iykyk

2️⃣-Over packing with a Colton isn’t a thing.  I swear I packed 4 outfits for 2 days, yet we didn’t have enough clothes.  Yes-my child is wearing high waters and yes he told everyone he saw that he has been wearing the same clothes for 24 hours.

3️⃣-When he got restless we played a fun, calm, non competitive game of rock, paper, scissors.  Remind me in the future-that nothing is calm and non competitive with Colton.  He got excited, dropped his water bottle, stepped on it and sprayed half of gate A9 with water.

How that happened I don’t know.  The sweet lady who took most of the water..God bless her.. she tried to tell him everything was ok “because it was only water”  and his response: it’s your lucky day I didn’t swap out that water with the sprite I smuggled through security.  While she thought it was hilarious, I braced myself.  She laughed and asked him what his name was.  His response: Antoine Vermette, I’m a retired hockey player out of Canada.

I flashed back to the days when he was a baby and we would sit at the wrong gate on purpose waiting for our plane at a different gate to board so his screaming wouldn’t terrify people we were about to fly with.  I should have done that today.  But we will keep flying!
